Therapy Intensives in Brampton and Online Across Ontario

More time when one hour doesn't feel like enough

A therapy intensive gives us dedicated time to focus on one issue, pattern, or question that matters to you. This is a concentrated psychotherapy experience with preparation beforehand and support afterward. I integrate clinical hypnosis where it fits your goals, comfort, and suitability.

Sessions are available in person in Brampton or virtually for clients across Ontario.

The heart of the experience

Three focused hours for one meaningful area of work.

We meet for a continuous, focused psychotherapy session built around the issue or pattern identified together beforehand. There is room to slow down, explore, and work with what comes up without having to close the conversation at the usual hour mark.

Clinical hypnosis may be a substantial part of the session where it fits your goals, comfort and suitability. The session is supported by preparation before and a personalized integration plan and follow-up afterward.

The complete intensive includes

3 hours

One focused psychotherapy session, typically Friday.

Three weeks of preparation · Personalized Self-Hypnosis Integration Plan within 24 hours · One-hour integration follow-up, typically Tuesday.

$1,095 total · In person in Brampton or online across Ontario.

Understanding the format

What is a therapy intensive?

A therapy intensive is an extended, focused period of psychotherapy. Instead of beginning and ending the work within a standard session, we prepare for a specific area of focus, spend three hours working with it, and meet again to help you integrate what emerged.

An intensive can offer more room to slow down, explore a familiar pattern, and practise a different response. It does not promise a breakthrough or replace ongoing therapy when ongoing support is the better fit.

One Defined Focus

More room for the work that needs time.

Understanding the format

Who might benefit from this format?

This format may appeal to you if you have done some personal or therapeutic work and want dedicated time with a particular issue. You might have insight into a recurring pattern but find it hard to shift, or you may prefer a concentrated session followed by a practical plan for using what you learn.

You do not have to decide on your own whether an intensive is appropriate. We begin with a connection call and a suitability assessment to discuss your goals, your experience with therapy and hypnosis, and whether this format makes sense for you.

What can we focus on?

We choose the focus together during your assessment. It might involve a recurring emotional or relationship pattern, a life transition, stress or burnout, self-trust, or an issue you have already begun exploring in therapy.

The aim is to work with a defined focus, rather than try to resolve every part of your life in one day. If your needs call for a different pace or ongoing care, we will discuss that before booking the intensive.

The complete process

How the intensive works

  • 1. A complimentary connection call

We start with a 15-minute call to hear what you hope to work on and decide whether an assessment is the right next step.

  • 2. Intensive intake and suitability assessment

In a 90-minute appointment, we look more closely at your goals, history, and readiness for this format. The assessment costs $247.50 and is included in the $1,095 total if we proceed.

  • 3. Three weeks of preparation

You receive a self-guided introduction to self-hypnosis and time to practise before the intensive. You can ask questions during this preparation period so we can make thoughtful use of the longer session.

  • 4. A three-hour psychotherapy intensive

We meet for three focused hours, usually on a Friday. Psychotherapy forms the foundation of the session. Hypnosis can be a substantial part of the work when it is appropriate and you are comfortable with it. We plan the session around the focus established in your assessment.

  • 5. A personalized integration plan

Within 24 hours of the intensive, I provide a Personalized Self-Hypnosis Integration Plan to help you continue practising and reflecting on the work.

  • 6. A one-hour integration session

We meet again, typically the following Tuesday, to discuss your experience, work through your plan, and consider how to apply it in daily life.

Your personalized plan and follow-up give the intensive somewhere to go next.

Rescheduling and cancellation

If you need to reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible. There is no rescheduling fee, and payments already made will transfer to your new date.

If you cancel rather than reschedule, the $247.50 assessment fee and $137.50 reservation and preparation payment are retained. If you cancel at least seven days before the intensive, any final $710 payment already made will be refunded.

For cancellations less than seven days before the intensive, the final $710 payment is generally not refundable. I understand that unexpected circumstances arise and will consider exceptions individually. If you would still like to attend, please contact me about rescheduling so your payments can be applied to a new date.

If I need to change your intensive date, I will contact you promptly and work with you to arrange a replacement appointment. Your payments will be applied to the new date.

Frequently asked questions

A few things you might be wondering

Do I need to have been in therapy before?

Prior therapy may help you know what you want to focus on, but it is not an automatic requirement. We assess fit individually.

What if I’m interested but unsure whether this is right for me?

That is what the complimentary connection call is for. If it seems worth exploring, the intake gives us more time to assess suitability before committing to the intensive.

Is an intensive a replacement for weekly therapy?

It can complement ongoing work or provide a focused course of care, depending on your circumstances. It is not a substitute for ongoing therapy when that level of support is recommended.

Can I attend virtually?

Yes. Virtual intensives are available to clients across Ontario when the format is clinically appropriate.
